At Nextspace, we use the Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) semantic model standard to bring building and construction industry data to life. 

Developed by buildingSMART, the solution is platform neutral, designed to allow systems used in architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) to interact. This facilitates more collaboration between and within organisations, improves access to critical information and enables more informed, faster decision-making. 

We commonly use IFC as the collaboration format for projects based on Building Information Modelling (BIM) for our architecture, engineering, and construction clients. The IFC model specification is registered by ISO and is an official International Standard ISO 16739:2013.
