Founder and CEO
Mark brings a broad range of experience skills and industry background to Nextspace. Combined with a formal background in Engineering and Business Management, Mark also brings years experience in most forms of CAD, FEA and CFD, GIS, game development, visualisation, film and related hardware and software technologies.
After co-founding the laregest CAD product and services company in New Zealand Mark was Founder, CTO and President of Right Hemisphere for over 14 years, Mark helped build a global software company based in New Zealand and the Silicon Valley.
Mark’s visionary leadership and passion created a company that delivered world-beating 3D visualisation technology for customers such as Boeing, Chrysler, Gulfstream, Nike, Bell Helicopter, CAT, Northrop Grumman and many more. These customers significantly benefited from the products developed by Right Hemisphere. In 2011 Right Hemisphere was acquired by SAP AG, the German global software company and Nextspace continues to collaborate and work with SAP.
Mark is passionate about the design and build of the visual and data pipelines required to create business or operational value from these new technologies. He see's the huge potential in the areas of Smart Cities, AI, IOT, BIM, to remove time and resource waste from as many aspects of our business and personal lives as possible.
Chief Financial Officer
Mark Talbot brings extensive experience working with technology companies to his role at Nextspace.
Mark is a Chartered Accountant who works with innovative start-up and high growth companies, mostly in the technology sector.
As a partner with Deloitte Private, Mark provides virtual CFO and Virtual Financial Controller services.
Scott Gilmour is passionate about supporting technological innovation in New Zealand.
He is an angel investor and mentor with a number of New Zealand technology companies, including Right Hemisphere, Biomatters, Winscribe, Jade, and of course Nextspace. He served on advisory boards for the IceAngels investor network and the NZ Trade and Enterprise Beachhead programme.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Otago University and an MBA from the University of Oregon. His 25 years of experience in the IT industry in New Zealand and the US include 12 years with Intel. He also co-founded a successful software company in the US in 1989, which was sold to SAS in 2002.
